    SBM Management is looking for a Director of Information Security to join their team!  The Director of Information Security will be responsible for its personnel, information, and physical security programs that enable business operations while protecting our companies’ most trusted information. The ideal candidate must provide advice, strategy, information and guidance to senior management with respect to all security matters as affected by laws, regulations, policy changes, and industry trends. Functionally, the Director of Information Security will be responsible for guiding all corporate security and counter intelligence activities.


    • Accountable for the development and oversight of policies and programs intended for the mitigation and/or reduction of security risks related to compliance, operational, strategic, financial and reputational security.
    • Directs the development of an effective strategy to assess and mitigate security risks (foreign and domestic), manage crises and incidents, support continuity of operations, and safeguard the organization.
    • Responsible for initial and periodic information security risk assessment/analysis, mitigation and remediation. Responsible for development and implementation of security risk management plan.
    • Establishes, maintains, assesses and updates a company-wide counter-intelligence program.
    • Coordinates and implements facility security, operations, and visitor activities to ensure protection of SBM staff, customers, visitors, etc., as well as all physical and information assets, while ensuring optimal use of personnel and equipment.
    • Execute management responsibilities for assigned Security team and ensure that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct reports are defined and understood.
    • Develops and sustains strong customer relationships to include establishing routine visits on a regular basis to create robust & productive relationships.
    • Effectively partner with leadership to provide overall thought leadership specific to security and counter intelligence matters.
    • Develops a strategic vision for the function, grows capabilities and offerings to meet business objectives, and balances a deep understanding of company objectives with current and emerging client requirements and external trends.
    • Serve as subject matter expert to external stakeholders on security matters.
    • Establishes and administers a process for investigating and acting on security incidents which may result in a privacy breach breaches.
    • Acts as a liaison with legal counsel and corporate compliance to resolve complex security matters.
    • Must minimize (risk management) issues before they become unwieldy, through strong negotiation skills and by understanding and interpreting the requirements.
    • Monitors performance of company to ensure timely delivery of security services at cost-effective prices and to anticipate contract problem areas.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    • Directly manages subordinate employees. 
    • Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
    • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning, and directing work; performance evaluations; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


    • Bachelor's Degree and or minimum of 8-10 years of security management with increasing supervisory and management responsibilities. Advanced degree preferred.
    • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
    • CISSP and/or cyber security credentials.
    • Active leader and/or member in applicable industry associations.
    • May required to have a valid driver’s license.
    • Must have extensive knowledge and experience with industrial security laws, regulations, practices, counter intelligence, and community programs.
    • Must have well developed professional writing and speaking skills, and be capable of preparing point papers, and preparing and delivering briefings.
    • This key individual will be a hands-on and action-oriented
    • Must be able to thrive in a highly interactive team environment and possess highly effective interpersonal, communication, collaborative, and leadership skills.
    • Able to work well under pressure, multi-task, and deliver on multiple priorities.
    • Driven, quick on their feet, attentive to detail, credible and dedicated to producing work of the highest caliber.

    Available Shift:  Full Time


    Compensation:  Depends on experience
