SBM anagement is currently looking to hire a HR Field Assistant to join their team!  This position schedules appointments, gives information to callers, takes dictation, and otherwise relieves officials of clerical work and minor administrative and business detail by performing the following duties.


  • Support site management with employee programs and services
  • Handles employment application intake, scheduling of interviews and required paperwork
  • Performs employee data entry for employee actions
  • Assists with new-employee orientations
  • Maintains confidential employee files and actions
  • Maintains Union Grievance tracker
  • Ensures Union CBA requirements for posting, time off, vacation cash out and notifications are met
  • Assists employees and Supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures
  • Provides visibility to corporate partners of local issues, elevates issues as needed
  • Assists with projects, as needed.
  • Performs all tasks in a timely and accurate manner. Ensures all data is entered by appropriate deadlines and contain appropriate approvals.
  • Maintains confidentiality and discretion in use of information related to employees, managers, and departmental operations without exception.
  • Help maintain work orders
  • Experience in a Union environment
  • Experience with full cycle recruiting
  • Assist with supply ordering and taking equipment inventory
  • Schedule job interviews and assist in the interview process
  • Serve as a point person for all new employee questions
  • Perform file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained 


  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. 
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to apply good judgement in understanding instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. 
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
  • Bilingual preferred (any language)
  • Must work well in a fast pace environment
  • Must be customer service oriented

Available Shift:  Monday - Friday 10:00am - 7:00pm OR 9:00am - 6:00pm


Compensation:  The pay rate for this position is $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
